C.2Sizing

How to choose a mobile kitchen trailer

Size the kitchen by meals and menu. A 24 or 28 ft standard kitchen carries a convection oven, a griddle and oven combination, a six-burner range, sinks, a prep table, and reach-in refrigeration. The 38 ft adds a fryer; the 40 ft adds double-stack ovens and a tilting skillet.

Scratch cooking, or a walk-in lost in the same project, points to the 40 ft combo kitchen with its built-in walk-in cooler. Institutional volume usually needs a 40 ft bulk kitchen. The standard kitchens run on 220V single-phase power at 200 to 220 amps; the all-electric unit is specified by quote.

C.5FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Q01

Can you set up several trailers on one site?

Yes. A common layout pairs a kitchen trailer with a dishwashing trailer and a refrigerated trailer, placed so staff can move between them. We plan the footprint, power, and water for all of them together.

Q02

How much does it cost to rent a mobile kitchen trailer?

Mobile kitchen trailers start from $4,995 per month, dishwashing trailers from $4,995 per month, and refrigeration from $1,895 per month. Delivery, setup, pickup, utilities, and permits are quoted separately for your address.

Q03

How long does setup take after delivery?

About 5 hours for kitchen and dishwashing trailers and about 1 hour for other units. Stairs take 5 to 15 minutes to place; a ramp, when needed, takes 4 to 6 hours.

Q04

Which kitchen trailer size fits my operation?

Size it by meals per day and menu. A 24 or 28 ft kitchen covers conventional service; a 38 or 40 ft kitchen adds fryers, double-stack ovens, and a tilting skillet; a 40 ft bulk kitchen is built for institutional volume. Share your meal count and we'll recommend one.

Q05

What equipment can I rent when my commercial kitchen goes down?

Mobile kitchen trailers from 24 ft to 40 ft, dishwashing trailers with push-through or conveyor machines, and refrigerated trailers and containers. For crews and long projects we also rent shower-restroom, laundry, and sleeper trailers.

Q06

Do I need a permit for a temporary kitchen trailer?

Often, but it depends on the jurisdiction. Health, building, fire, and temporary-use approvals vary by city and county and by how the kitchen will be used. Contact your local authorities early; we'll provide the equipment details they ask for.
